About GPS and satellite signals:
To use the Global Positioning System (GPS), you need a compatible GPS receiver. Use a Bluetooth connection to connect to the GPS receiver. To start using a compatible GPS receiver using Bluetooth connectivity, select Menu> Connectivity> Bluetooth.
Is run Global Positioning System (GPS) by the Government of the United States, which is solely responsible for its accuracy and maintenance of the system. Can be affected by the accuracy of location data setting operations conducted by the U.S. government to GPS satellites, and are subject to change according to the civil GPS policy and the Federal Radionavigation Plan United States Department of Defense. The accuracy can be affected also by poor satellite geometry. May be affected by the possibility of the availability and quality of GPS signals because of the location, due to the presence of buildings and natural obstacles, and weather conditions. May not be available GPS signals inside buildings or underground, has been weakened because of other materials such as cement and minerals.
You should not use GPS for precise location measurement, and you should never rely solely on location data obtained from the GPS receiver and cellular radio networks for positioning or navigation.
The accuracy of the measuring device trips are limited, and thus rounding errors may occur. The accuracy can be affected by availability and quality of GPS signals.
To enable different ways of positioning or disable such as Bluetooth GPS, select Menu> Tools> Settings> General> Positioning> Positioning methods.
Information about the satellite signals:
If the phone can not receive the satellite signal, do the following:
- If you are indoors, get out in the air to get a better signal.
- If you are in an open place, go to a more open space.
- Signal strength may be affected by bad weather.
- May take to create a GPS connection from a couple of seconds to several minutes.
Satellite condition:
To check the number of satellites found the phone, and whether it receives signals from satellites or not, select Menu> Tools> GPS data> Location> Options> Satellite status. When you find the phone on any satellites, each bar appears inside the satellite display screen satellite data. The greater the length of the bar, on the strength of the satellite signal. When the phone is receiving enough data from the satellite signal to calculate the coordinates of your current location, turn the ribbon color to black.
Phone must receive signals from four satellites at least initially to be able to calculate the coordinates of your location. Upon completion of the initial calculation, may continue the process of calculating the coordinates of your location with three satellites. Note that whenever you find a greater number of satellites, more accurately calculate the coordinates in general.
