You can transfer your contacts and calendar entries, tasks, photos, videos, music and office documents to your new phone. You can back up to some content, such as text messaging and multimedia messaging or music protected by DRM on your computer, and you can not move some data to your new phone.
May not apply these guidelines to all phone models and manufacturers.
- Names
You can transfer your contacts from your old phone easily using the Contacts Transfer application located on your new phone. Contacts Transfer application is in the list of the main applications in devices Nokia Lumia. If you do not have this feature, you can download it from Marketplace (just clicking Marketplace in screen Start (Start)).

If you already have a mini SIM card, you can also copy the contacts from the SIM card mini to your new phone.
- Calendar
If stored contacts and calendar on the Internet as part of the service on the Internet, such as Google Account and Microsoft Exchange, set up this account on your phone and will import contacts and calendar entries automatically.
- Media files
Media files are transferred using the Zune software, which is a free application for your computer. To download the latest version and install it on your computer, or to learn more about the Zune application, go to the site www.zune.net.
If you are using an Apple Mac, do download the Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac devices through the Mac App Store.
- Office documents
Office documents can be transferred using a cloud storage service Windows Live SkyDrive. And you need to Windows Live account.
If you do not have a Windows Live account already, you can create an account through the site www.live.com, or using your phone. For more information, see your phone's user guide.
- Other content on your old phone
You can use the right software to store text messages and multimedia messages, notes and bookmarks for the browser and DRM-protected music and video clips and their own licensing your computer.
