Increase the utilization rate of more than a mobile phone in the BRIC countries

A recent study issued by the research firm Nielsen today that the use of more than a mobile phone - or multiple phones - has become a new perception in three of the markets of the BRIC countries with high growth rates (Brazil, Russia, India, and China). On the other hand, is still the vast majority in India (89%) have a single device, just as is the case in the United States of America, where only 17% of participants in the Mobile Services Possessed more than one device.

The study showed that 51% of mobile phone owners in Russia and 48% in Brazil have two phones or more, and come proportion owning three or more mobile phones to be the highest in Brazil, amounting to 15%. China also witnessing a growing trend towards owning more than a mobile phone.

The study shed light on the reasons behind the users owning more than one mobile phone, and pointed out that sometimes users keep you devices the old when they buy the latest devices, including for use in cases of necessity or considered as alternatives as necessary. In some other cases, users tend to use the device for work and another for personal use.

The study showed that the owners of smartphones in China and Russia closer to use their computers for work purposes, while most of the owners of non-smart devices rely on them for personal use.

The study reported that the booming markets of used and refurbished devices in the BRIC countries contributes significantly to own more than one device. Where are devices used and refurbished in Brazil about 1 out of ten devices.

It should be noted that experts from Nielsen, a research firm will shed light on the global scene to the user's behavior regarding the use of mobile devices during the conference of the Global Mobile 2013, which takes place from 25 to 28 February.
